Dress Code by Class
Below is some helpful information regarding our dress code. We do have a few items for sale in Studio A, but the best places to purchase dance wear are either online at discountenance.com or at the Capezio store in Riverside.
Kinder Theater Ballet/Tap
Hair must be up and out of the face
Leotard, tights, black tap shoes, and pink ballet shoes
Students are allowed to wear skirts/tutus and whatever color leotard they want
Kinder-Musical Theatre
Hair must be up and out of the face
Form fitting clothing
Jazz Shoes (Black or Tan depending on the teachers preference for performance)
Ballet
Hair must be in a bun and kept out of their face.
Leotard, tights, ballet skirt (optional) and pink ballet shoes
Students can wear whatever color leotard they want
Tap
Hair must be up and out of face
Form fitting clothing
Tap shoes
Jazz/Hip Hop/Lyrical/Musical Theatre
Hair must be up and out of the face
Form fitting clothing
Jazz Shoes (for jazz and musical theater) and closed toed shoes (for hip hop)
Lyrical half sole shoes or lyrical socks for lyrical
If students wear tennis shoes, they should be designated for hip hop class only. Normal street shoes are not allowed on the dance floor
Dance Acro
Hair must be up and out of face. A long ponytail is even too much. A bun or French braids is best.
Form fitting clothing. No loose clothing whatsoever.
Barefoot.
